■A Refreshing Lapis Lazuli Glass
・This sake cup is a beautiful example of colored glass, known as iro kabuse (layered color), combined with intricate cutting. Nihon Yarai features a double diagonal lattice pattern, reminiscent of a bamboo fence, symbolizing protection and prosperity and boasting a substantial design that beautifully reflects light.
・Toshiyuki Tsuji (tsuji toshiyuki) is a craftsman at Tsuji Glass Craft. The bokashi (gradual shading) technique, expressed through his unique cut glass methods, is an essential element when discussing Satsuma Kiriko. Mr. Tsuji's signature is engraved on this piece.
・This is a masterpiece designated as a traditional craft of Kagoshima Prefecture.
