Unused Yoron-yaki Teacup (1 piece)
Yoron-yaki Yunomi (Teacup)
Yoron-yaki (Yunnu A'duru-yaki) is handmade pottery made using the red clay of Yoron Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, and natural materials such as banyan trees, coral, and sugarcane for the glaze.
The pottery is black overall. The bottom is a beautiful, vibrant blue known as Yoron Blue.
This item was purchased at a shop within the Purishia Resort Hotel during a trip to Yoron Island 30 years ago. It has been stored unopened for a long time, so while the box shows signs of age-related deterioration, the teacup itself is in perfect condition.
