Vintage 2-Piece Silver Plated Salad Serving Set With Wood Handles MCM European

Up for your consideration is a magnificent 2-piece salad serving spoon and fork presented in a dark sculptural black with contrasting silver plate finishes. This luxury tableware was procured from a private estate and though it lacks hallmarks, was identified by the auctioneer as a substantial vintage piece, likely a limited edition from a MCM French company. This magnificent set seamlessly balances a striking, deeply grooved twisted black handle with classical tiered urn finials and decorative beaded neck collars. The heavy silver-plated upper sections offer a deep, mirror-like luster designed to beautifully anchor formal or rustic tablescapes alike. The distinct beaded bolster bands, the 4-tine split serving fork, the tiered urn-finials, and the exact 24.8 cm boutique catalog size align with traditional French artisan flatware practices, secondary serving components featuring mixed-material handles were deliberately produced without a face stamp or hallmark to preserve the forged metal structure. This set is not to be confused with cheap, oversized 14+ mass-market versions (such as the Pottery Barn Bronze Twist series). This is a genuine, heirloom-tier luxury European import. Excellent pre-owned vintage condition. The silver-plating retains a gorgeous luster with minimal, faint hairline surface marks consistent with gentle handling. The handles are tight, structurally sound, and free of cracks or chips. Please see high-resolution photos for exact condition details.
