An antique, handmade Belgian jabot, a beautiful bobbin lace necklace with a slightly unusual double-layered construction. This is a lace chest ornament, like a tie, worn on shirts, dresses, and the like.

Likely Brussels lace from the 19th century, or Duchesse lace, or Bruges lace.
A single layer of Point de Rose lace with roses.
A single, plump, six-petaled rose at the tip of each section.

Gauze-like openwork mesh woven with fine threads, and subtle petal veins and leaf veins create a cool impression.
