Valley‎ Vista California Pottery Yellow 8.25" Leaf Bowl 211 Mid Century

This decorative ceramic dish was produced by Valley Vista, a California pottery company active during the mid-20th century, specifically from the 1950s through the 1960s. California pottery from this era is characterized by organic, nature-inspired forms and speckled glazes that reflected the casual, modern aesthetic popular in post-war American homes. The leaf shape and warm yellow glaze with brown speckles exemplify the California pottery movement's emphasis on bringing natural elements into everyday tableware. These charming leaf dishes appeal to collectors of mid-century modern ceramics and vintage California pottery enthusiasts. The organic form and cheerful color make them popular among those who appreciate retro home décor and functional art pieces. Collectors value these items for their nostalgic appeal, craftsmanship, and representation of an important period in American decorative arts when California became a major center for innovative pottery design.
