Vintage Ornate Brass Tilting Vanity Mirror | Mid-Century Dressing Table Mirror

Vintage Ornate Brass Tilting Vanity Mirror | Mid-Century Dressing Table Mirror A beautifully ornate vintage brass vanity mirror with an adjustable tilting design and wonderful naturally aged patina. Likely dating to the mid-20th century, this substantial tabletop mirror combines old-world European-inspired ornament with the elegant functionality of a traditional dressing-table mirror. The oval mirror pivots within its decorative frame, allowing the viewing angle to be adjusted. An intricate foliate border surrounds the glass, while sculptural scrollwork and graceful feet give the piece an especially romantic silhouette. The brass has developed warm variations in tone along with touches of verdigris, giving it the depth and character that only comes with age. History & Craftsmanship Likely produced during the mid-20th century, the mirror’s design draws from earlier European Neoclassical and Rococo decorative traditions. Its pressed and formed brass construction is consistent with vintage decorative brassware of the period. Similar dressing-table mirrors were produced in Europe, including Italy and England, although no maker’s or country-of-origin mark has been identified on this example. Condition Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. The brass retains its naturally aged finish with areas of oxidation, discoloration, surface wear and verdigris. Dimensions 15.5” H × 12” W
