Japanese Hagi Ware Ceramic Sake Set - Signed Studio Pottery Tokkuri & 2 Cups
Studio Pottery
35.00 $
Description
Gorgeous, authentic Japanese studio pottery sake set. Features a stunning reactive crawl/crackle glaze in a soft, minimalist pale peach gradient tone. The pouring carafe (tokkuri) showcases a beautiful hand-thrown ribbed design, a flared pouring lip, and a matching pair of wide-rimmed drinking cups (guinomi). The unglazed clay base of the carafe features an impressed oval potter’s kiln stamp mark. A perfect set for entertaining, functional use, or styling as Wabi-Sabi neutral home decor. (In person this set is darker in tone than images depict.) Ideal for serving hot or cold sake, this set is designed for an intimate drinking experience. Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or flea bites. Natural glaze crazing is inherent to this traditional style of artisan pottery.
