HANDMADE FLORAL APPLIQUÉ QUILT • DATED WINTER 2002–03   A truly charming handmade quilt filled with beautiful botanical details and an incredible mix of fabrics.  This 82” x 83” quilt features nine large cream appliqué panels framed in deep forest green. Each panel is filled with flowers, leaves, berries and other whimsical botanical motifs made from an eclectic collection of colorful fabrics.  One of my favorite details is the little green Christmas tree tucked into one of the blocks, made from a dark green star-print fabric. The quilt has such a wonderful collected, homespun feel — colorful without being overly bright, with a cozy cottage and folk-art aesthetic.  The close-up photos show the wonderful texture and handwork throughout, including the small stitched details and dimensional fabric accents.
