This is a magnificent kimono featuring a beautiful dove-feather color (muted bluish-purple) base with a subtle Aya pattern (interlocking geometric design) woven into the fabric. It is adorned with gold leaf and gold thread embroidery, depicting a scene that appears to be from a Noh play, possibly Matsukaze or Ama/Kaito.

The figure opening a scroll on the stage is likely from Ama, while the figure at the bottom of the stage, holding a tub, is likely from Matsukaze. This is a lovely Tomesode (a type of formal kimono) designed with popular, classic Noh plays. (Accessories shown in the images are for reference only and are not included with this item).

It has five crests (Mitsugashiwa pattern). The hem is padded with cotton, a luxurious tailoring rarely seen today. The Hachigake (lining of the hem) also features a splendid old pine tree pattern.

There is a stain on the white hakama of the figure on stage on the left front panel. While it is less noticeable from a distance, please be aware of this.
The stain on the back panel is very faint and almost unnoticeable due to the woven pattern.
The slight dirt on the collar is in an area that will be hidden when folded. There are also storage creases.
