All Of The Ocean Lei
Kyetaka
A fantastical lei, chunky, bold, filled with life and ready for its next life! Spots of color in red, orange and chocolate brown play off the whites and creams, giving a marvelous oceanic frothy feel. Perfect for a ceremony, wedding, graduation, or for Haka or Hula. True Vintage, with the loops of shells traditionally strung on old fishing line, all placed on a woven raffia cord! This piece is old and part of a unique heritage. Because of construction, most likely crafted in Hawaii, but I wouldn’t swear to it in a court of law. Tahiti is also a possibility. Ocean shells ranging from Raratonga Pupu to Hawaiian poleho, with some false Niihau as well…highly unusual shell choices make this a unique find, made by islanders for islanders. Quite possibly a hula or fire dancer performance piece, it’s got that 50’s resort vibe going pretty strong, doesn’t it? No clasp, slips over the head. Created with deliberate room on the cording to allow easy movement and a good sound (listen to video) to accompany your moves. Hypoallergenic, no metal present. Listing is for the lei only, the fab puka will be listed soon. My ukulele stays home with me, by a different ocean but still loved and played. Stored in a smoke free home. Will be sent with great care. Questions, bundles and offers are always welcome! Thanks for stopping by my Posh shop :)
