La Pointe Pottery Ikebana Style Flower Arranger
La Pointe
35.00 $
Description
Created on a potter's wheel in Lompoc, CA, John LaPointe created this beautiful vessel. It was textured by hand then glazed and fired. Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging flowers. Inspired by nature, the colors of land and sky were used when designing this rich blue and green glaze. Incorporating circles and lines brings a natural calmness to your spirit. Add a few flowers by filling the vase with water to submerge the inside pins and then push each stem on to the pins. The flat shape of this vase allows you to easily play with different flower lengths. Signed on the bottom and in good condition with no cracks. Married couple John and Noreen LaPointe have built their ceramics business since 1977.
