Antique 1920s 1930s Valances Set of 3 Fringed Plaid Green Dot Window Curtains

Wonderful set of three antique fringed window valances, accompanied by a family provenance note dating them to the late 1920s or early 1930s. The valances are made from an unusual cream open-weave/net textile with a fine woven plaid design and raised soft green dot accents. Each has a dramatically scalloped lower edge finished with substantial cream twisted fringe. Set includes 3 valances: Two approximately 36” wide One approximately 34” wide Each approximately 14” long including fringe A typed note kept with the textiles reads: “I remember these valances were from the house where I grew up. 928 Erie Avenue. They date back to the late 1920s or early 1930s, I would guess.” The note will be included with the valances. Based on the accompanying family history as well as their textile and construction, these appear consistent with the late 1920s–early 1930s / Art Deco era. Lovely survivors with wonderful period texture and character. Ideal for an antique or historic home, cottage décor, period interior display, textile collection, or potentially for careful repurposing. Vintage/antique condition with age-related wear and minor discoloration/marks as expected from textiles approaching 100 years old. Please examine photographs carefully for condition and construction.
