Elegant Tatsumura Textile. Kyoto Fukuro Obi - Ivory with Gold Trim, Auspicious Golden Lion Motif
I researched the meaning of Kinshigami (Golden Lion Bite).
It seems to originate from the custom of having the lion's head of a Shishimai (lion dance) bite you to ward off evil spirits, with kamitsuku (to bite) being reinterpreted as kami ga tsuku (to be blessed by the gods), wishing for good fortune.
The design is beautiful, as expected from Tatsumura Textile, even for a lion's face. The box looks old. There are no noticeable stains on the fabric.
This is a Kyo-fukuro Obi, a type of obi that can be tied like a Nagoya Obi but appears to be a Fukuro Obi.
★ Although there are no noticeable stains or dirt, I am offering it at a reduced price due to the possibility of overlooking something.
