Precious Wood Yakusugi (Japanese Cedar) - 3000 Years Old - Antique Low Table / Chabu-dai - Old Japanese House / Showa Retro

Thank you for viewing.

This is an old zabuton (floor table) or low table made from rare Yakusugi, a World Natural Heritage site, with a tree age of 3000 years.
As it is a small zabuton, it is easy to handle and can be placed in various locations.
It is a World Heritage site that Japan is proud of, and requires no further explanation for personal ownership.

Dimensions are:
Width: approx. 94 cm
Depth: approx. 44.5 cm
Height: approx. 33 cm
Tabletop thickness: approx. 3 cm

As this is an old, authentic antique piece of furniture, there are various scratches and stains on different parts.
However, the quality of the wood is excellent, and above all, the design, assembly, and construction by the craftsmen of that era are superb, making it furniture that can still be used without any problems, not just for display.
