Description

Shiro Takagi Mt. Asama (Dawn)
March 18, Showa 62 (1987) Photo
This is an Asama mountain that is so well-done it could be mistaken for Kosuke Tasaki's work.
Upon research, it turns out he was friends with the famous literary scholar Donald Keene.
It is thought that the painters exhibiting at the Dokuritsu Bijutsu (Independent Art Exhibition) were often strong-willed individuals.
