Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Suede & Exotic Stingray Platform Pumps Sz 38 (As Is)

This s is an authentic pair of vintage Yves Saint Laurent D’Orsay style platform pumps from the Rive Gauche era, officially marked size 38. These rare statement heels feature a beautiful combination of textures, mixing genuine soft grey suede with an exotic, textured stingray skin panel on the toes and heel shafts. They are designed with a slender stiletto heel, wrap-around ankle straps, and the classic metallic silver YSL monogram on the insoles, with the internal serial number authenticity stamp reading 229753. The rubber heel lifts are completely worn down, exposing the metal core pins on both heels, so they will need a simple, inexpensive replacement by a cobbler before they can be safely worn. Additionally, the exotic stingray wrap shows some minor cracking and natural seam separation along the inner spine of the heels. The inner leather lining also shows typical darkening from previous use, and the metallic silver YSL logo paint is partially peeling and flaking.
