A painter from the late Edo period and the eldest son of Ganko (a painter from the mid-Edo period).
He excelled at animal paintings and, as the second generation of the Ganko school, had a significant influence on the Kyoto art scene.
・Scroll dimensions: Length approx. 184.5 cm, Width approx. 56.5 cm (excluding roller ends)
・Artwork dimensions: Length approx. 133.5 cm, Width approx. 44 cm
・Works depicting Japanese wolves are extremely rare and scarce.
・There are age-related dirt, stains, and scuffs/fraying on the mounting, but the artwork itself has no tears or damage. I believe it is in good condition for its age.
