Vtg 1961 Blenko 6128 Charcoal Glass Teardrop Candle Holder Wayne Husted Sticker

Vintage 1961 Blenko Glass Charcoal Teardrop Candle Holder (#6128) - Wayne Husted Era with Original Silver Foil Hand Sticker Up for sale is a spectacular piece of American mid-century art glass history: an original Blenko Glass Teardrop Candle Holder (Design #6128), designed by the legendary Wayne Husted and manufactured during its initial production run between 1961 and 1962. This piece features Blenko's highly collectible and elusive Charcoal color—a deeply saturated, moody, smoky grey that looks nearly black and opaque in ambient room lighting, but reveals a beautiful translucent, smoky clarity when subjected to a flashlight test or placed against direct window light. This piece retains its original silver foil Blenko Handcraft hand-shaped sticker completely intact on the bottom, definitively dating this piece to the historic 1961–1962 era and ruling out the later 2001 re-release. Design Features: - Smooth, high-polish flat top surface with a singular taper candle well. - Intricately textured, organic mottled detailing along the teardrop sides and bottom. - Heavy, substantial, premium hand-crafted glass weight. - Length: Approx. 3.75 inches - Width: Approx. 2.5 inches - Height: Approx. 1.25 inches Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or notable flea bites. Glass remains brilliant and clear. The original silver foil bottom label is securely attached with minor, age-appropriate vintage wear to the foil edge.
