The hallmarks are 18k HGE with the Uncas Shiman division Trademark. It is 18kt Heavy Gold Electroplated. The eyes have Genuine Emeralds & the mouth a Diamond. Founding: Established in 1911 in Providence, Rhode Island, by Italian immigrant Vincent Sorrentino (originally as Vincent Sorrento Inc., renamed to Uncas Manufacturing Co. in 1922). Named after a legendary Native American chief. Specialty: Grew to become known as America's Largest ring house, producing popular costume, sterling silver, and semi-fine jewelry, including 10K gold and heavy gold electroplate (HGE) rings.
