Vintage 1948 St Moritz Winter Olympics Swiss Postage Stamp Prong Brooch
N/A
Rare vintage Swiss postal jewelry featuring an authentic canceled 1948 St. Moritz Winter Olympic Games Helvetia 10+10 stamp. The brown, blue and white issue displays interlocking rings over a snow crystal, preserved beneath a glossy oval cover and framed by scalloped white edging with gilt accents. A distinctive crossover collectible appealing to Olympic memorabilia enthusiasts, philatelists, Switzerland travelers, winter sports historians, mid-century accessory collectors, ephemera hunters and international souvenir buyers. Reverse has an aged brass-toned plate with the same unusual fixed dual-prong fitting found on this estate series rather than a conventional pin clasp. Original fastening purpose remains uncertain; construction is clearly photographed. Natural patina, oxidation, finish variation and surface wear add authentic period character. Materials unknown and untested. Estate find acquired through a consignment client. Colors may vary slightly due to lighting and screen settings. I do not clean estate jewelry. You will receive the exact item shown. Sold as-is with no returns.
