[About YAMAHA Stage Custom Birch]
The shells are made of 100% birch wood, which has long been the hallmark of Yamaha drums, achieving sharp overtones and a tight sound.
The fusion of birch's unique wood grain and lacquer finish creates a one-of-a-kind drum set.
The lugs (Absolute Lugs) feature an internal lug lock mechanism where the lug nut hold plate inside the lug prevents tension bolts from loosening during performance.
Furthermore, the Y.E.S.S. (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System), which is uncompromising in bringing out the natural resonance of the toms, is employed. With the traditional ball mount and clamp, setup is stress-free. These parts, also used in higher-end models, give the Stage Custom superior functionality that surpasses its class.
The 6-ply shell is made of 100% birch, a signature material of Yamaha drums. It achieves a rich mid-range and clear shell resonance unique to birch wood. Equipped with Absolute Lugs inherited from higher-end models, it transmits shell vibrations fully without loss, responding even to delicate stick work. It boasts expressive power that exceeds its class.
