Kurotomesode with Yamaboko Float Procession Pattern, by a Master Artisan

This is a modern Kuro Tomesode (black formal kimono for married women). The family crest is Maru ni Kasa (circle with an umbrella).

The design features a Kumo-tori (cloud pattern) with a Yama-boko Junkyo (Gion festival float procession). The cloud pattern is accented with gold leaf, and the festival floats are delicately hand-painted. The pine needles that drape over them are fully embroidered, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.
Despite the luxurious processing, the design is simultaneously dignified and elegant.
The fabric is also substantial and heavy, and this is a piece by a signed artist.

While the Yama-boko Junkyo pattern is said to be most stylish when worn in July, this kimono can be worn year-round.
Although the pattern extends upwards and is gorgeous, the subdued colors make it suitable for a sophisticated look in your 30s, and it will fit even more perfectly for those in their 40s, 50s, and beyond.

Kuro Tomesode of this caliber may not be available for rent at some shops, or may incur significant additional charges.
Therefore, I am pricing it at a level that I believe is still reasonable, even after re-stitching the crest and adjusting the length.
