Description
Vintage Japanese hand-painted porcelain dish in the geisha-ware style, showing kimono-clad figures in a garden beneath purple wisteria with pink flowers, accented in raised gold. It has an iron-red and gilt rim. The base is unglazed white and unmarked, with age staining and discoloration around the foot ring. Measured against a ruler it is roughly 5 inches in diameter. There is some gilt wear and age toning consistent with its age; no maker's mark was found, so it is described conservatively. Please see photos for exact condition. Sold as shown.
