This piece is inspired by the play Yuzuru by playwright Junji Kinoshita, based on the famous Japanese folktale The Crane's Return of a Favor.
It depicts the fantastical scene of Tsuu, the protagonist who is the embodiment of a crane, weaving at a loom. The surrounding Momiji (Japanese maple leaves) dance, and a torii gate is visible in the background, expressing the Japanese sentiment and the poignancy of the story through strong monochrome lines.
