Wedgwood Wedgwood Blue and White Commemorative Washington And Lee University Plate, 1943

SUPER RARE! This decorative commemorative plate was made by Wedgewood between the years off 1943 and 1950 and exclusively gifted to College Presidents and other high-ranking university administrators. This depicts Washington and Lee University of Virginia. This particular design depicts Washington Hall and is the rarest of the set. I can't find any others like this online, but replacements.com has the less rare ones for $120 - 140. They were also available for purchase but were generally so costly that only the most successful alumni would aquire them. Finesse quality dense china, using Wedgewood's famous transferware treatment. Like new condition.
