★What is Shin-Hanga (新版画)? Shin-hanga are prints created from around the Meiji 30s (late 19th century) to the Showa era. Centered around publishers, these prints were produced through a division of labor involving artists, carvers, and printers, similar to traditional Ukiyo-e prints. Aiming to modernize and revive Ukiyo-e, Shin-hanga are highly regarded internationally and remain popular among collectors today.
