Description
This is a Kendo protective gear set.
My son used it when he was in junior high school.
Since three of my children did Kendo, the gear might be mixed.
The kote were a gift, and the tare were replaced.
Please check the images for size and condition.
Men (Head protector): Men-gane (duralumin) is lightweight and puts less strain on the neck.
Men-futon: (6.4mm) Machine-stitched with 6mm-7mm width is relatively soft.
Do (Chest protector): Yamato-do is a durable and lightweight do made of special nylon resin (or reinforced plastic) with excellent impact resistance.
Tare (Waist protector): Fraying in the embroidery (Image 12).
The chalk (number) marks could not be removed.
Kote (Gloves): There are tears in the leather parts (Images 16 & 17).
Bag: The style is old, but it's included.
Bonus: Tsuba (hand guard) and Tsuba-dome (stopper), Men-towel (has yellowing).
He was 170cm tall and weighed 53kg, with a slender build.
While there is some sign of use, I believe it can still be used.
