General Electric

215.00 $
Description
Designed by Russel Wright for General Electric, this ceramic wall clock features a soft speckled green glaze, sculptural raised numerals, and a softly rounded square form that reflects Wright's signature modern aesthetic. Produced in the late 1940s to early 1950s, it remains one of the best-known examples of American mid-century industrial design. The original synchronous electric movement has been tested and is in working order, and a video demonstrating its operation is included with the listing. Measurements: • Diameter: 8.25 Very good vintage condition. The ceramic face displays beautifully with light wear consistent with age. There is a hairline crack on the back near the clock movement that does not extend through to the front and is not visible when the clock is displayed. The original cord and plug show expected age-related patina. The clock has been tested and is in working condition. A video of the clock operating is included in the listing. We carefully select every item and believe in transparency. In the case of vintage or pre-owned items, we don't always know their full history, but we have high standards and won't list or sell anything we wouldn't use ourselves. All items come from a smoke-free home.
