The power of the Zen Hall Master
Born in Musashi Province in 1860. In 1879, he was appointed to the Zen Hall at Engaku-ji Temple in Kamakura. He practiced Zen under Abbot Kōsen Imakita and Abbot Sōen Shaku, receiving their seal of approval. After returning to Seishō-in Temple in Hachioji, where he became a monk, he was appointed Abbot of Hōrin Zen Hall in Yokohama (now closed). He also served as acting Zen Hall Master of Engaku-ji Temple in place of Abbot Sōen Shaku.
As an amateur, I do not know the details.
