Westmoreland Marigold Carnival Glass Shell &Jewel Sugar Bowl with Lid c1890
Westmoreland
This Covered Sugar Bowl is part of an early Westmoreland line called Victor, the Shell and Jewel pattern was produced in 1890. It is a scarce pattern in carnival treatments as only the creamer and sugar have been found iridized. This antique piece comes with a lid and measures 5.5 inches in height and 3.5 inches in width. This sugar bowl has some years behind her... She does show her age as there is a chip on the rim of the lid and on the mouth of the base.(The line showing from the chip is not a crack, it's part of the mold shape) which is pointed out in the last two pictures. No other chips, cracks or flaws found. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of history with this gem.
