1940 Lux Soap Hattie McDaniel Gone With the Wind Promotional Brooch

A captivating piece of Golden Age Hollywood advertising history, this 1940 Lux Soap premium brooch was created in connection with Gone With the Wind and Hattie McDaniel’s portrayal of Mammy. Designed to echo the ornate brooch associated with her film costume, it is a distinctive collectible linking classic cinema and vintage jewelry.  The substantial round design features layered scalloped borders, detailed beading and scrollwork, a vivid turquoise-blue center accent and surrounding creamy domed accents.
