Catalog for a photography exhibition held in 1988 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum as part of the Tokyo-Paris Friendship Cities Partnership commemorative project.
Eugène Atget and Henri Cartier-Bresson, two representatives of French photography. This exhibition catalog focuses on these two photographers who captured Paris and its people, held in commemoration of Paris Year in 1988.
Features works from the collection of the historic Musée Carnavalet in Paris.
This set includes three separate booklets housed in a box: a 120-page booklet of Atget's photographs, a 110-page booklet of Cartier-Bresson's photographs, and a 33-page booklet of commentary. Each booklet features 80 works, offering a substantial collection.
Condition: The box has scuffs, scratches, and dirt. The cover of the main books has minor dirt. Please refer to the photos. The interior is relatively clean.
Purchased at the photography exhibition in 1988.
I looked through it a few times then and stored it on a bookshelf.
The same item is being sold at used bookstores for around 2500 yen.
