Description
Vintage Salem China “English Village” Cup & Saucer Set in classic blue and white transferware. This set features a charming countryside village scene with a cottage, bridge, and trees, with decorative floral detailing around the rim of both the cup and saucer. Made by Salem China Co. in Staffordshire, England, this ironstone set features permanent underglaze decoration and the traditional English blue transferware style that is popular with collectors of vintage blue and white china. Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. The cup handle shows signs of a previous repair, and there is visible crazing in the glaze consistent with age. No major chips or cracks were observed. Please review photos carefully as they are part of the description. A great display piece for collectors of Salem China, English Village patterns, or vintage blue and white transferware.
