Original retail price: Approximately ¥120,000
This is a top-quality Muramasa iaido sword from Nihon Antique Gallery (Niagi).
A rare item produced in small quantities between the initial and later production runs.
Features a long groove (hi), an elegant silver habaki, and a high-density blade.
The weight balance is extremely refined and fits comfortably in the hand.
The Muramasa-style hamon (temper line) is impressive, and the high quality of the koshirae (mountings) makes it an excellent display piece for a tokonoma (alcove). This is a historic masterpiece from Nihon Antique Gallery.
The tsuba (hand guard), habaki, seppa (spacers), and blade are all firmly attached with no looseness. The koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) has been reinforced with wood and is also free of looseness.
While there are minor scuff marks on the blade and tsuba, the overall condition is very good.
The swept groove is finely crafted by skilled artisans, allowing you to enjoy a light hi-nari (groove sound).
It can, of course, be used without issue for iaido practice.
Niagi iaido swords are highly regarded by experienced iaido practitioners, so you can purchase with confidence.
Nihon Antique Gallery has ceased iaido sword production, making this a valuable piece.
It holds significant asset value as a collectible from a discontinued manufacturer.
As mentioned at the beginning, this is the last Muramasa listing. Please consider it.
*Prices are subject to change periodically.
*Immediate purchase is welcome.
