Vintage Joyce Chen Flounder Fish Chopstick Rests, Set of 4 Porcelain (Japan)

Vintage set of four Joyce Chen flounder-shaped chopstick rests, also suitable for use as knife or utensil rests. Made of white porcelain and produced in Japan. Each rest is sculpted in the shape of a flounder fish, with engraved facial details, fins, tail, and two raised eyes. The head and tail curl upward, elevating utensils approximately 1 inch off the surface. Each piece is engraved Japan on the underside. The set is very lightweight yet sturdy, with all four rests together weighing approximately 2 ounces. Based on Joyce Chen's history, this set likely dates to the mid-to-late 20th century, most likely from the 1960s–1980s period.  This is a charming and well-made vintage set of four fish/flounder chopstick/knife/utensil rests.
