This is a high-grade iai sword replica of Masamune made by Niagi.
This is a later production model, characterized by its kakitsume groove and polished blade, designed also for display.

As it is constructed for iai-do, it can be used without issue for kata practice or suburi (swinging practice). It produces a light whoosh sound when swung due to the groove.
*Please note that it is not durable enough for sparring practice. Also, if you use it for practice, please ensure regular maintenance.

The blade has some minor scuff marks and age-related wear, but it is in relatively clean condition. There is no looseness in the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard).
