Black Knight china refers to porcelain dinnerware and other tableware pieces made in Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic and Slovakia) during the 20th century. These are particularly sought-after by collectors for their elaborate decorations and vibrant colors. The Black Knight name itself wasn't a manufacturer, but rather a brand name used by various porcelain makers in Czechoslovakia. Some of the factories that produced Black Knight china include: • Epiag (founded in 1890) • Haas & Czjzek (founded in 1792) • Antonín Rückl (founded in 1870) These porcelain factories would manufacture the blanks (unfinished pieces) and then decorate them with elaborate floral or scenic patterns. Often, they would also use 24 karat gold accents for an extra touch of elegance. Bold colors: Black Knight china often features a vibrant color palette, including red, green, blue, and yellow. Floral patterns: Many Black Knight pieces feature elaborate floral designs, like the one in the image you sent. Gold accents: Black Knight china frequently uses 24 karat gold trim or accents on the rims, handles, and patterns.
